The Danish United Nations Association
Amongst our activities, Danish UNA is focusing on civil
society involvement and linking issues and actors, being one of the
key facilitators in the post-Rio Sustainable Development process.
We are board members of Peoples' Climate Action and are part of the
Danish '92 Group and WFUNA's delegations to COP-15 (WFUNA being
World Federation of UNAs http://www.wfuna.org).
Throughout the conference our participants will post comments on

We will together with the Finish UNA and their partners from
Brazil, India and Tanzania host a side-event at Peoples Climate
Summit Wednesday December 9th at 16.15 (in the Red
Room).
December 10th 14.00-18.00, there will be a "Model
UN"-simulation of climate negotiations at HK-København; read more

December 10th our volunteers will celebrate UNs Human
Rights Day at various key locations in Copenhagen.
December 12th we will participate in the Global Day of
Action.

Under "Conference Programme" you'll find the "Overview Schedule" of
the planned timing of the various official agenda-points, and each
day you'll find an updated "Daily Programme"; under "Side events
and exhibits" you'll find all the other planned activities in the
BC; under "Conference Documents" you'll find the texts it's all
about; under "Virtual Participation" there will be live streaming
from the plenaries and other meetings; and "Logistics" is just
that: logistics!

CAN is the broad NGO-coalition following the Climate-negotiations
since they started. They have issued a position-paper supplemented
by their daily "Eco".
The Danish '92 Group http://www.92grp.dk
Established in connection to the UNCED in Rio in 1992, this broad
NGO-coalition have been following all negotiations and processes
relevant to sustainable development, including climate. Under "In
English" statements and information can be found. The will have an
exhibit in the BC and is organising a side-event December
10th at 16.30 on Climate Action in Denmark.

PCA is the broad Danish NGO network established to facilitate
activities before and during COP15. Under "Calendar" a daily
overview of events are listed, under "News" newsletters are found
(through the Danish part of the website you can subscribe for the
twice-daily newsletter issued throughout the conference), "Venues"
gives you quick access to the 6 main venues of activities outside
BC, "Activities" gives info on additional activities, and

The main venue for NGO activities outside BC takes place in
DGI-byen next to the Central Station. "Programme" gives you the
overview of everything planned, under "Declaration" you can follow
the drafting of a statement of the summit, and "Practical" is yet
another good place for useful information.

Halfway through the conference, people around the world will
organise one day of common, peaceful activities. In Copenhagen, a
demonstration will start at the Parliament (Christiansborg) at
13.00.

The Danish Folk High Schools Association is offering a more quiet
environment for adult edutainment at Borups Folk High School,
behind the Parliament. Most of the programme is targeted at
ordinary Danes curious about this climate-thing, whereas some
events will also involve foreigners. The café is for everyone.

The Municipality of Copenhagen is filling the main Town Hall Square
(Rådhuspladsen) with climate-activities throughout the
conference.

Whenever there is a Summit (topmøde) in Copenhagen, the alternative
community "Christiania" will organise a Bottom Meeting (bundmøde).
Amongst the highlights is the Funeral of the Day.
